Now easier than ever to calculate and offset your carbon footprint online.
Anyone looking for ideas on how they can reduce or offset their carbon footprint should head straight for myclimate, a leading provider of voluntary carbon offsetting measures. Given that nowadays this kind of contact happens online, providers need to have a modern and technically flawless website if they are to attract new customers and hold on to their existing ones
myclimate asked Liip to come up with a new strategy and design for its feature-rich, content-heavy website. It was important that the site presented the complexities of the myclimate business model in a detailed yet accessible way. The structure takes account of the findings of a workshop that was held well before Liip got down to the nitty-gritty of redesigning the website.
Following the User experience approach user groups were identified and objectives were set for each group. An analysis of existing and new content provided the building blocks for the information architecture and the content-driven navigation.
Liip applied the mobile-first approach when it came to the visuals, and used the front-end framework Bootstrap for the website’s responsive features. It provided a clickable front end to send to the Basel web development agency, Simplicity, who then built the website using Typo3.
The upshot is a website that ticks all the right boxes. As well as the new UX design, existing content as well as myclimate services/products have also had a facelift. myclimate now has an easily extensible website that puts its users first.
