What tools do we use?

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how our website is used and how we can improve our content and services. For example, we measure page views and selected interactions on our website.

Linkedin Insight

LinkedIn Insight allows us to measure the impact of our activities on LinkedIn and whether users subsequently interact with our website.

MailerLite

We use MailerLite to manage our email marketing subscriber list and to send emails to our subscribers.

Google Ads

Google Ads is an online advertising platform provided by Google. We use Google Ads to protect our brand name and measure the effectiveness of our advertising. You may see our promoted content in Google Search when, for example, you search for "liip".

Teamtailor

If you apply for a position here, the personal data contained in your application will be collected and processed by Teamtailor.

Google reCaptcha

We use Google reCaptcha to check whether the data entered on our contact form has been entered by a human or by an automated program.

Pipedrive Web Visitors Add-on

We use the Pipedrive Web Visitors Add-on, which allows us to identify which companies have visited our website.

What information do we collect about you?

We collect various pieces of information using multiple systems. Therefore we call them: Analytics tools.

Analytics tools

When you use our website

Depending on your cookie settings, we may collect the following information, among other things:

• information about your device and browser
• the page you came from
• information about the pages you visit, such as the URL, page title and page type
• interactions such as clicks, scrolling behaviour and downloads
• email addresses and telephone numbers you click on
• forms you submit, but not the content of the form fields

Google Analytics also uses the IP address during data transmission to derive approximate location information. The IP address is not logged or stored by Google Analytics.

We use Google Signals. Where the relevant requirements are met and the necessary consent has been given, aggregated information about demographic characteristics and interests, as well as the use of our website across different devices, may therefore be available in Google Analytics.

Google reCaptcha

Google reCaptcha analyzes the behavior of the website visitor based on various characteristics. This analysis starts automatically as soon as users enter a part of the website with reCaptcha enabled. For the analysis, reCaptcha evaluates various information (e.g. IP address, how long the visitor has been on the website, or mouse movements made by the user).

Contact form

We use the contact form to receive general questions (press kit, questions about Liip, etc.) as well as requests for quotations, which are then recorded in our CRM Pipedrive.

Teamtailor

During interactions with the website, all data required by the application form will be collected and all documents voluntarily uploaded will be stored.

Newsletter

Subscribing to the newsletter requires a double opt-in process. After subscribing via this website, you will receive an email asking you to confirm your subscription. This confirmation is required to ensure that the request has actually come from you. This process is logged so as to be able to verify the subscription process.

To this end, we log the following:

• Consent given to receive newsletters
• Sending of the confirmation email
• Receipt of the email response

When you open the newsletter, a small embedded graphic will establish a connection with the server. This collects technical information such as the browser and system version used, your IP address, and time of access. It shows if and when the newsletter is opened and what links are clicked on. From a technical perspective, this information can be assigned to individual recipients. However, we have no interest in monitoring individual users. We analyse the information anonymously to identify reading habits and optimise our newsletter.

How is this information collected?

Analytics tools

To improve our website content, we collect and analyse traffic, interactions with our content and the use of our website.

We use Google Analytics with Google Consent Mode. If you consent to Google Analytics, Google Analytics may use cookies and similar identifiers.

If you do not consent, no analytics cookies are stored or read. However, limited signals without cookies may still be sent to Google. In this case, no analytics cookies are set or read, and events are sent to Google Analytics without a device or user identifier. Google may use these signals to model website usage.

All information will be sent from our website to Teamtailor.

Google reCaptcha

The data collected during the analysis will be forwarded to Google. reCaptcha analysis in the “invisible mode” may take place completely in the background. Website visitors are not advised that such an analysis is taking place if you are not shown a challenge. Google acts as a “data processor” acting on behalf of its customers as defined under the GDPR, and a “service provider” for the purposes of the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).

What do we do with the information collected?

Google Analytics

Data collected through Google Analytics is processed by Google. Google Analytics does not store IP addresses. As part of the provision of the service, data may also be processed outside Switzerland.

We do not use Google Analytics to collect information such as names, addresses or content entered in form fields.

Job application form

Any personal data that you enter on our website will be processed by us for recruitment purposes. This includes selecting and assessing applicants, preparing and conducting interviews, and evaluating and collecting feedback from Liipers.

MailerLite

We use the collected information to better understand the behaviour of our newsletter subscribers and to evaluate the visibility of our content.

Who has access to this information?

This information is only available to Liip employees and to the companies providing the relevant analysis and data collection tools.

Google reCaptcha

Data processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) of the GDPR (DSGVO): We have a legitimate interest in protecting our site from abusive automated crawling and spam. For more information: policies.google.com/privacy and policies.google.com/terms.

Job application form

By submitting an application, you are providing Liip with your personal information (CV, letter of motivation and other information collected during the recruitment process). We will handle your information confidentially, and your file will only be forwarded to members of staff involved in the recruitment process.
Your information will never be sent to third parties outside of Liip.

Mautic

We use this information to assess the visibility of our newsletter content and understand the behavior of our newsletter subscribers as a whole.

Where is this information stored?

The information is stored in various locations depending on the system being used.

Job application form

The information collected is processed using the Teamtailor application. It is stored on the company’s servers in the USA. Find out more at https://career.teamtailor.com/privacy-policy.

MailerLite

The information collected using MailerLite is stored on their servers in the European Union and has information storage security certificate (ISO 27001). We will never use MailerLite to collect any of your personal information such as first name, last name, age or address.

How long do we store your information for?

Google Analytics

The retention period for user and event data in Google Analytics is set to 14 months.

Job application form

The information is stored for as long as is required by the recruitment process, unless statutory obligations require a longer period.

MailerLite

The information we collect about your visit on our website automatically is deleted after 3 years.

How do you deactivate data monitoring and collection?

Analytics tools

You can change your choices at any time via "Adjust settings". If you do not consent to Google Analytics, no analytics cookies are stored or read. Due to the use of Google Consent Mode, limited signals without cookies may still be sent to Google.

How do you delete any information that may have been collected about you?

Job application form

If you have any questions regarding your personal data, you can contact the person responsible for your data at Liip (see next question). You are entitled to request the rectification or deletion of your personal data at any time, or to request that the processing of your personal data be limited. If you request such a deletion during an application process, this may cause the process to be halted.

Newsletter

You can cancel your subscription at any time. There is a link to do so at the bottom of every newsletter. Any personal data associated with the newsletter subscription will be deleted following cancellation.
