Alva is the AI-powered chatbot on bs.ch. After testing with real users, we improved its answers, source transparency and trust. Today Alva is built into every search bar, can hold full conversations (not just single answers), and features a fresh, user-friendly interface. It has become a trusted, transparent digital assistant for the Canton of Basel-Stadt.

For the Geneva University Hospitals (HUG), we built ConfIAnce, Switzerland’s first LLM chatbot for general medicine. It answers patient questions about common chronic illnesses safely and reliably, using retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) based on verified hospital data. The chatbot operates securely in Switzerland, adheres to Swiss/EU privacy regulations, and alleviates doctors’ workload without replacing medical diagnoses.

Internally, we built HandbookGPT to help every Liiper find answers fast.
