Drupal is an open source content management system. This means that there are no licensing costs. Added to this is the fact that day and night, somewhere in the world, members of its huge development community are actively working to fix any problems and make this CMS even better than before. On top of all this, Drupal also has over 10,000 add-on modules, and a built-in adaptive roles and rights assignment system, which makes website administration so much easier.
Drupal works with structured data. This means that you can create, publish and manage content destined for multiple webpages, all from a central location. Each individual content type is built in such a way that it can be displayed when and how you want it.
Say, you want to include your customer advisors on your website. So, you create a team page listing all of your advisors. Yet, you also want each customer advisor to have their own dedicated page so that they can set out their areas of expertise, qualifications and experience in greater detail. At the same time, you want to include links to your customer advisors on your service/product pages. But how?
The answer is Drupal. All of this information is entered and stored in a central location, allowing you to pick and choose what you want, and don’t want, to appear on your website’s assorted pages. For example, the team page could feature a photo, name and contact details of each customer advisor. In contrast, the customer advisor’s own page features an in-depth profile, while the service/product page includes a quotation from the customer advisor on the given product or service, alongside the advisor’s professional background information.
With Drupal, you can turn even complex structures into a child's play.
