I added some more data to the Swiss Top 100 Blogs list. As I started collecting the daily data just before my vacation, we can now display a history of the rank and the inbound links for each blog. See for example the Bitflux Blog history.

Furthermore, and maybe more interesting for the general public, is the gains/losses of inbound blogs/links each blog made in the last x days (x is currently 10, will be more later, when we have more data). This gives a little bit different Top 100 List than the usual one, since the blogs with the most new links will be on top. Therefore even blogs which are quite new and don't have that many links overall, but made new once lately, will get some “exposure”.

As this list will be more dynamic, it's the more interesting one for recurring visitors. The “old” Top 100 list will be quite static as it will take some time for new blogs to get the currently needed 12 inbound blogs to appear on the list. For the “new” list, you only need one new link to appear (at the moment) :)

BTW, there were quite some discussions how useful such a list is at all or if it's just a pissing contest. I'd say, whatever :) I discovered some new interesting Swiss blogs with this list and will discover more in the future. It's certainly not the one-and-all-and-definitive Top 100 list. There are dozens of ways to build such a list (visitor, links, relevance, etc…), this is one way and it just takes the data which Technorati provides. Nothing added. Nothing magic. So, people, relax. It's just a list :) Matthias sums it up quite nicely, as well (in german).
