Equality and equal opportunities have always been an integral part of Liip's core values. As well as promoting women in the workplace, the company has measures in place to make it easier for its workforce to strike a better work-life balance, operates a transparent salary policy and has a flat organisation. Liip is a truly egalitarian company, where everyone is treated as equals.

«It's not surprising», explains Gerhard Andrey, co-founder of Liip, «that more than two-thirds of our largely male team work part-time, spending their out-of-office hours looking after their young families. They do so, safe in the knowledge that this will have no adverse effect on their career. This is an extremely rare phenomenon in the private sector, and especially in the technology industry.»

The Prix Egalité underlines the commitment of the Swiss Association of Commercial Employees to equal opportunities and is awarded every three years to the most pro-equality employers in Switzerland. The evaluation criteria include equal pay for work of equal value, a gender-neutral workplace and opportunities for qualified staff, including management, to work part-time.

The award ceremony will be held on 11 November at the Kaufleuten in Zurich.
