After parsing the blog entries anyway for tags, adding counting the links itself was an easy task. And now Planet Ping shows the most linked stories in the Swiss blogosphere in the last 7 days. Apple's new notebook, Alain's Screenshots and the Blogger Survey were the most discussed topics as of today :)
I only parse the links, which are in the feed. If your blog only provides summaries without links in it, no links are counted. I'd have to get the html output of that post and I'm not sure, If I want to go down that routeā¦
By the way, anyone against putting that Planet Ping on http://planet.blogug.ch/ ? I have more ideas for it and maybe someone else thinks it's a useful thing with features other aggregators don't have (and I don't see it as a real aggregator anyway, it's more a poor-man technorati for Switzerland :) )
And if you have ideas, what else could be done with that tags and links information, let me know.
