The “Beyond Budgeting” model can inject a fresh impetus into firms that already organise their development teams and manage their business according to agile principles. The SwissICT's “Lean, Agile & Scrum” core team will host a special event on the evening of 31 October dedicated to the subject. It has invited a number of leading business people and BB experts, including Gerhard Andrey, a founding member and co-director of Liip, to share their views and practical insights on this alternative business management approach.

“ Beyond Budgeting” is an integrated management approach based on 12 key principles which can be applied to any kind of organisation and offers an alternative to the traditional “command-and-control” model. Some of the pioneering businesses cited and studied in the many publications dealing with the Beyond Budgeting approach include Svenska Handelsbanken, dm-drogerie Markt, Hilti, Southwest Airlines, Toyota, and Google.

The following guest speakers will share their practical experiences of the “Beyond Budgeting” approach:

  • Franz Röösli, co-author of “The Leader's Dilemma” and director of the Beyond Budgeting Round Table (BBRT);
  • Franz Wirnsberger, CFO of the Hilti Group;
  • Gerhard Andrey, founder and co-director of Liip, will discuss with Mischa Ramseyer, member of SwissICT's “Lean, Agile, & Scrum” core team, why the Agile Management concept can provide a formula for success.

This SwissICT event will be held on 31 October 2012, from 6 pm to 8.30 pm in the Hallenstadion conference centre, Zurich-Oerlikon. It will be followed by an informal drinks reception. Details and registration.
