Kununu, the largest employer rating site in the German-speaking world, has put together a Top 10 of Swiss businesses with excellent green credentials.
The key criteria which earned firms a place on the list were top ratings in kununu's âenvironmental and social awarenessâ category, âTOP companyâ status on the platform and a location with good transport links.
Not only does Liip use green electricity, but all of its five offices are within walking distance of a train station. It subscribes to responsible purchasing, recycling and resource consumption practices. For example, Liipers who have to travel within Europe on business take the train rather than the plane, even though the latter is often the cheaper option.
Another example of Liip's strong environmental conscience is its long-running and popular âBike2Workâ scheme. Last year, around 20 Liipers â the equivalent of 6 teams spread over the five sites â heeded the call to get in the saddle!
According to Nadja Perroulaz, partner and co-founder of Liip: âCurrently around one fifth of our workforce take part in the scheme, and numbers keep rising year on year. We are, of course, delighted with this situation, which shows that our employees actually live out Liip's values.
