As the last school year was drawing to a close, Liip's first commercial apprentice, Roman Karakoc, training at our office in Fribourg, celebrated passing his final exams. Liip takes its role in training junior staff seriously and runs apprenticeships in commerce and IT.
Last summer Matteo de Micheli started his apprenticeship as a developer at the Liip office in Zürich. Also in Zürich, Boris Hofer joined us for his third and fourth year of training as a developer. From the start of the new school year, Liip Fribourg will also have a developer apprentice, Simon Erhardt.
Besides the freshly graduated Roman Karakoc, second-year commercial apprentice Christine Schreyer is also part of the Fribourg team. Recent addition Alicia Gundelach is training to be a commercial assistant at Lernetz in partnership with Liip. She has started her time with us while switching places with Christine Schreyer, who has taken Alicia's place at Lernetz in the meantime. After the summer holidays, Kim Corminboef will begin her first year of commerce apprenticeship at Liip Fribourg.
Liip believes that by providing training opportunities we can make a positive impact on young people's future. We want to give young talent a first hands-on experience of working in a business environment.
Liip also has internship placements for students. By offering a chance to gain practical experience working in agile web development and collaborating on actual projects we hope to equip our graduates best possible for their future careers.
