The Open Knowledge Foundation, Opendata.ch and Lift Conferences are delighted to invite you to the Open Knowledge Conference (OKCon) taking place from 16th to 18th September 2013. The theme of this year's event is ā€œOPEN DATA ā€“ Broad, Deep, Connectedā€. It is the first time this event is held in Switzerland. Besides keynote speeches from Ellen Miller, Sunlight Foundation, John Ellis ( CERN and Kings College, London), and Chris Vain ( World Bank), the official conference programme includes a series of workshops and hackathons.

The first day of the conference will feature a presentation by Andreas Kellerhals, director of the Swiss Federal Archives, on the ā€œOpen Government Data Pilot Portal of the Swiss Confederationā€, which is set to go live on September 16 2013. Developed by Liip and OGD consultancy firm itopia, will be co-managed by five Federal government offices.

As an active member of the Swiss open data community, the web agency Liip is proud to sponsor this year's OKCon. Why not stop by our lounge and meet Liip's open data experts and members of the itopia team?
