Experienced Web Developer PHP / JavaScript (F/M)

Objective and Requirements

We are looking for an experienced PHP/Javascript web-developer to fulfill a specialist role in one of our project teams. The ideal candidate combines development expertise with broad, in-depth technical knowledge to take a key part in realising project goals. Within the framework of an agile development process the candidate is responsible for the project from the point of analysis, designing a solution, up to implementation and documentation. This involves the following tasks:

• Developing and implementing project parts within the framework of separate, cross-disciplinary teams
• Building, supporting and promoting the technologies and networks relevant at Liip
• Establishing technical concepts and providing team members with specialist support

The exact job specifications will vary according to the candidate's work experience, background and preferred form of employment (80-100%)

Professional Competency Requrements

Education

• Qualifications and experience working with web technologies Very good knowledge of German and/or English

Minimum Technical Skills

• Advanced knowledge of PHP5
• Sound knowledge of the relevant standards (CSS, Xhtml, DOM, XML, HTTP etc.)
• Very good knowledge of JavaScript/Ajax
• Solid competency in all aspects of the LAMP stack

Prefferred Additional Technical Skills

• Proficiency in modelling object-oriented systems and relational databases
• Experience in debugging and tuning of complex web applications
• Experience in the field of web-application security
• Basic knowledge of XSLT
• Experience developing or managing open-source projects
• Experience working with technologies under development, e.g., NoSQL, html5, etc.

Professional Experience

• Experience working in software engineering with focus on web-technologies
• Or higher education graduate or autodidact with corresponding in-depth practical experience

Social and Personal Competency Requirements

• Open-minded and able to integrate easily into a team, good communicator, reliable and efficient
• Familiar and comfortable working with agile project methods
• Able to identify new technological developments and independently find creative solutions
